LDF had another successful night at two award ceremonies last night. The 13th annual Leasing Life Awards took place last night (29th November) in Amsterdam, celebrating the array of businesses involved in the asset finance and leasing industry within the UK and Europe.
We're proud to announce that for the second successive year we picked up 2 key awards, further helping us to demonstrate our significant contribution to the European Leasing industry. Once again, we were named Independent SME champion, with the judges describing LDF as "the ultimate SME provider with a focus and breadth that is unrivalled in the industry".
This was quickly followed with an award for LDF Credit Underwriter, Ben McPheat, named as ‘Young Professional of the Year’. Following on from our success last year, this is the second year in a row that one of our people has won this prestigious award, as Peter Alderson, managing director at LDF explained, "It is a real demonstration of the quality of our people and the emerging talent that is in our business."
Meanwhile, at London’s historic Guildhall, our marketing team attended the Financial Services Forum, Marketing Effectiveness Awards. This was the first time the team have put forward campaigns for an award of this nature and so we were thrilled to be shortlisted within the ‘Digital Marketing’ category, covering some of the most impactful and effective campaigns in financial services over the last 12 months.
Whilst we didn't quite pull off the win, we were exceptionally pleased to receive a Commendation from the Judges, in recognition of our ‘Welcome to the Flipside’ campaign, which launched earlier this year, promoting a simple, non-bureaucratic approach to finance.
Commendation in this category saw us placed ahead of campaigns from other industry giants such as Barclays, HSBC and WorldPay. Peter commented, "It's a real recognition of the quality of our marketing that we can go head to head with these companies and compete."

With focus on small business support an ever-increasing topic of discussion, LDF continue to strive to stand out. In 2017 we redefined our approach to the market, removing the red tape to make it easier and faster to get a business loan. We are aware that our businesses have increasing choice within the market and so it makes it even more special to have our efforts recognised at these awards.
Overall, it was further affirmation of our commitment to UK smaller businesses and evidence that our hard work is cutting through. With the 2017 awards season drawing to a close, it was the final cherry on top of what’s been another excellent year for LDF.
