Adaptive Finance in a Changing World
LDF were delighted to be invited to sponsor the Healthcare Group Spring Conference at the illustrious Chartered Accountants Hall in London last week.
Focusing on the topic of the CQC and Mergers affecting General Practitioners (GPs), the event was attended by a wealth of key representatives from across both the medical and accountancy professions. Dedicated to understanding how to make a success of the current and future changes, attendees were graced with a number of highly insightful seminars delivered by industry leaders; including a keynote address from Dr Brian Balmer - the future of GP practices, interactions with CCG’s and the impact of 7 day working practices - helping to put the impact of the CQC changes into context from the direct viewpoint of the medical profession.
LDF's Coenraad Rossow delivered an address on the importance of adaptive finance, where he drew a clear comparison between the changes presently experienced by GP's and the changes our own industry has seen over the last 5 years - his emphasis was very much on the opportunities that can arise from change and how to best harness these. Coenraad likened this to an old South African saying, 'Improvise. Adapt. Survive' - a pertinent message and one that could be assisted through careful consideration of alternative finance, helping to make required investments such as tax and practice development more achievable.
Coenraad said "The event was very successful, and well organised. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to the ICAEW Healthcare members, and it was great to speak to some already long standing LDF clients, as well as the opportunity to further educate the industry as to what funding options are out there for them and for their customers. I look forward to the autumn conference."
