The LDF charity volunteering programme continues to be a great success and this week, LDF employees joined Flintshire charity NCAR (North Clwyd Animal Rescue) for another exciting day of volunteering. NCAR, who rely solely on charitable donations, provide care and support for a large number of unwanted, abused and abandoned animals within the Flintshire area.
LDF employees were involved in a variety of activities including learning about the charity, to assisting with daily tasks such as dog walking, cat therapy and other essential chores. Feedback has been great and overall people were surprised at how much work NCAR need to do to support the animals within the rescue.
"As an animal lover the day was thoroughly enjoyable and it was hard not to fall in love with some of the cats and dogs. It was great to feel like we were helping to give the animals the time and attention they need. I would definitely volunteer there again." - Laura Griffiths - Collections & Customer Services
"I’m glad that LDF gave me the opportunity to go and volunteer at NCAR. I enjoyed the experience and would love to help out at the rescue again!" Adam Shaw - Sales Ledger Clerk
