The 12th annual Leasing Life Awards took place last night (24th November) in Paris, celebrating the array of businesses involved in the asset finance and leasing industry within Europe.
Continuing our award success this year, we are proud to announce that it was a very successful evening for LDF Group (now White Oak UK), winning two categories and coming runners-up in a third.
As a company who puts smaller businesses at the forefront of everything we do, we were delighted to be awarded ‘SME Champion – UK’. This award recognised our work in asset finance and our direct engagement in supporting the SME market. The judges looked at:
- Demonstrable interest in the SME markets, beyond the provision of finance
- Clear endorsement from clients
- Consistent growth and commitment to the SME market
- Examples of demonstrating creativity and addressing SME market demands in imaginative ways
Our second award of the evening saw Sales Manager Matt Phillips recognised for his individual efforts as ‘Young Professional of the Year’. The award judged the depth of Matt’s talent and the breadth of his expertise in the leasing and asset finance industry. Judged by the Leasing Life editorial team, the award looked for someone whose peers agreed had a positive impact on the leasing community, influencing not just the success of their company but also the wider industry, so is a tremendous achievement for Matt.
The evening was rounded off when First Independent Finance was awarded runners-up in the ‘Asset Finance Intermediary’ category. Leasing Life commended FIF’s work in the current challenging markets to demonstrate an ability to grow, develop customer offerings that are relevant and their risk and performance culture that is respected internally as well as externally.
Peter Alderson, Managing Director at LDF Group (now White Oak UK), commented on the success: “The finance industry is now recognising that our business is pretty special and that it is built by exceptional people. 2016 has been an unbelievable year for us, winning seven awards so far.”
