We recently announced that we had passed the £1 billion mark in lending on our own book. But where did that billionth pound go?
White Oak UK’s £1 billionth customer was Ian Hamilton from Stewarton-based Lainshaw Farm Eggs, a family owned egg wholesaler supplying to customers across Scotland.
Ian picked up the reins from his father five years ago and turned to White Oak UK when he needed new financing for a delivery van.
Ease of access and a speedy service with a personal touch were what proved so attractive about the White Oak UK service.
Ian said: “Lainshaw delivers 3 million eggs a year all over Scotland, so we absolutely have to have reliable distribution to meet our customers’ needs. We have a fleet of five vans and we needed the money to buy our latest vehicle. We had borrowed from White Oak UK previously, and it was a smooth, quick and straightforward transaction, so they were the obvious people for us to go to again.”
I’ve got to know the people there over the years, so it means I get all the service of a bank but with a personal touch.”
