This week (18th - 24th May) plays host to Local Business Week, an annual event encouraging the British public to show their support for local business by visiting independent stores and buying local. The event also encourages businesses to get involved to help one another with access to advice and resources.
*SME’s account for over 99% of UK businesses, contributing a combined turnover of more than £3,500 billion to the UK economy, so continuing to show your support for small businesses has never been so important.
To get involved, why not make a pledge and be a part of The Power of 3? A promise to buy three items from local shops that you would normally buy from the corporate giants. Whether you purchase your morning coffee from the local café, get your newspaper from the newsagents or simply divulge in an afternoon snack from the bakery, it’s all part of the cause.
How will you be getting involved in Local Business Week?
