The High Sheriff's Awards for Enterprise are Cheshire's most prestigious Awards for business performance, providing a golden opportunity for businesses throughout the region to demonstrate their excellence and be rewarded for their hard work and dedication over the last 12 months.
This year’s event took place on 22 March at Chester Racecourse, attended by over 300 leading entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the region and hosted by the High Sheriff of Cheshire, Sarah Callander Beckett, alongside the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chester, Professor Tim Wheeler.
This year’s worthy winners were Great Barrow based design and build contractors, Urban Landscape Design who scooped the overall prize of the High Sheriff’s Award for Enterprise 2017/18, sponsored by LDF (now White Oak UK).
Holly Youde, Director and Designer at Urban Landscape Design, said: “We were thrilled to be finalists and absolutely honoured to have won. It is testimony to the hard work of the whole team who are a huge support and share our vision. There are exciting times ahead for Urban and this is a great endorsement both for professional development and the future of the business.”
However, the benefits of entering the High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise extend far beyond winning one of the prestigious awards, with Holly also taking up a place on the University of Chester’s MBA programme, worth £10,000.
Peter Alderson, White Oak UK's Managing Director commented:
“As a business based in the region, we were pleased to be able to support the Award for Enterprise for the second year running. There is such a lot of talented, innovative businesses in Cheshire and the awards are an excellent way to showcase this, while also providing a sound springboard for their future development. On behalf of LDF, many congratulations to all the winners”
