I’ve got to know the people there over the years, so it means I get all the service of a bank but with a personal touch.
Ian Hamilton, Director, Lainshaw Farm Eggs
Ian Hamilton picked up the reins from his father five years ago, with their company having been involved in the egg business for over 95 years. Throughout that time there have been many changes in both practices and bird welfare. Their latest system uses ‘colony’ production which gives the hens freedom of movement and is approved by animal welfare groups.
Lainshaw supply eggs to a wide and varied customer base including Hotels, Hospitals, Convenience stores and even home bakers. They have a commitment to deliver the best product combined with a fast and reliable service. The Problem
Lainshaw absolutely have to have reliable distribution to meet their customers’ needs. As Ian explained, “We have a fleet of five vans and we needed the money to buy our latest vehicle. We had borrowed from White Oak UK previously, and it was a smooth, quick and straightforward transaction, so they were the obvious people for us to go to again.”
White Oak UK’s ease of access to finance and a speedy service with a personal touch were what proved so attractive to Lainshaw.
With over 30 years' experience in the vehicle finance industry, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with an excellent level of service and the most competitive solutions on the market. The Result
Now delivering 3 million eggs a year all over Scotland, Lainshaw Farm Eggs were able to extend their fleet ensuring they could continue to deliver their award-winning eggs across Scotland without impacting their cash flow. Lainshaw also became our £1 billionth customer for lending on our own book.
We could not have been happier. Banks as usual were a nightmare - they took over six weeks to eventually refuse for vague reasons unexplained. White Oak UK were professional, helpful, friendly, and best of all, fast.
