    We're looking for a talented Sales Analyst to play an integral role for our Sales Management Team at our head office in Ewloe, near Chester.

Sales Analyst

Location: Ewloe, near Chester

As a Sales Analyst, you will play an integral role in providing the Sales Management Team with key insights as to how their business areas are performing. You will identify key areas of opportunity and development with a view to maximising origination.

Role & Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the data and marketing teams to develop sales CRM strategies that will optimise opportunities to ensure right product, right skill set, right lead time delivery, providing insights and leveraging data science to refine strategies.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop, manage and communicate monthly lead campaigns.
  • Work with data and marketing to understand campaigns results, produce insights and make recommendations for adjustment of strategies and tactics as required.
  • Carry out ongoing interrogation of the sales funnel to ensure conversion rates are maximised and wastage identified and eliminated.
  • Understand and report against the relative success and return on investment by lead origination channel.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of our existing customer base in order to develop strategies to increase penetration/improve cross selling opportunities.
  • Perform market research, identify new data sources and lead opportunities. Work with the marketing and data team to integrate.
  • Be a data quality sponsor working with sales, marketing and data to ensure this is maintained and improved.
  • Work with marketing and sales to ensure there are consistencies across reporting.
  • Work with credit risk to understand credit appetite and adjust the data to match.
  • Develop sales forecasts, performance updates and campaign tracking on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Leverage new lead technology to improve lead generation and performance efficiency.
  • Be a key member of the Data, Marketing and Sales (DMS) function, delivering insights and performance to the group with recommendations.

Core Skills and Knowledge

The successful applicant will have a strong analytics background (preferably in sales/marketing) and an excellent understanding of the commercial financial market. They must also demonstrate the ability to engage with key stakeholders internally to win buy-in from the wider business.

  • Educated to degree level or higher in a relevant subject.
  • Strong data manipulation, predictive modelling and analysis skills using SQL.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to make recommendations based on findings considering commercial and customer implications.
  • Ability to articulate complex findings in business context to non-technical stakeholders and use data to ‘tell a story’.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capability.
  • A brilliant communicator, with great presentation skills.

Helpful but not essential

  • Experience of working within the financial services industry.
  • Experience of data modelling.
  • Experience of managing and monitoring the performance of sales campaigns.
